QUESTION     4

Who would be the audience for your media product?

Question 1: Does this film remind you of any other thriller films you recently watched?

Henry (Aged 17):  This film reminds me of ‘American Psycho’ because they both share similar elements from what I can see. The killers from both films have a double life of some kind where everyone isn’t aware of their actions.

Jennifer (Aged 32): Yes, this film reminds me of another thriller called “Inception’ because the psychological aspect of each film is clearly displayed through the perspective of the characters.

John (Aged 13): This film doesn’t really remind me of any other thriller films I recently watched because I’m not really a fan of the thriller genre.

Question 2: Can you relate to the characters?

Henry (Aged 17): I feel I can relate to the characters within the film because they are the same age as me therefore I find it easier to see the film through their perspective.

Jennifer (Aged 32): I wasn’t able to relate to the characters because I couldn’t put myself in their shoes and I wasn’t able to relate to the decisions they made.

John (Aged 13): I can’t relate to the characters because I wouldn’t have done what they done in the film. Maybe if I was older my opinion would change.

Question 3: Did you know this is a psychological thriller? If so how?

Henry (Aged 17): Yes I knew this was a psychological thriller because some of the camera shots were from the perspective of the killer.

Jennifer (Aged 32): Yes, because the soundtracks used within the film reminded me of other psychological thrillers I have watched and because of the camera shots and angles used, for example when the killer was running and you could see his feet through his eyes.

John (Aged 13): I didn’t know this was a psychological thriller because I don’t watch a lot of psychological thrillers so I didn’t know what to look for.

Question 4: Would you pay to watch this film in a cinema and why?

Henry (Aged 17): Yes I would pay to watch this film in cinema because its very similar to the type of films I frequently watch and it looks like it has a very interesting storyline.

Jennifer (Aged 32): I would pay to watch this in cinema because the thriller didn’t give away too much and it left me wanting to find out more about the characters and what happens next.

John (Aged 13): I wouldn’t pay to watch this in cinema because I’m not really a fan of psychological thrillers because I don’t find them interesting.

Question 5: What gender do you think this film would most likely attract?

Henry (Aged 17): I think this film would most likely attract males because both the main characters are male so they would not only be able to relate to them but have a deeper interest in the film.

Jennifer (Aged 32): I think this film would attract both males and females because I feel the psychological aspect of the film appeals to both genders equally.

John (Aged 13): This film would attract more males because they would find it easier to put themselves in the shoes of the characters.

Question 6: Did you enjoy the film?

Henry (Aged 17): Yes I enjoyed the film because it was quite fast pace so I was constantly engaged at all times.

Jennifer (Aged 32): Yes I enjoyed the film because the use of less dialogue kept my attention and created an element of mystery because it left you not knowing what happens next.

John (Aged 13): I enjoyed the film because I felt like I had a personal connection with the characters.
